Join us in our work
At Ride 4 a woman we welcome volunteers. There are a number of areas where we would very much welcome your skills. Read on and email us with your questions.
Craft – do you have craft skills you can teach that will create saleable items?
Health & Wellbeing – are you a trained professional who can provide a program of education and awareness to increase the health and wellbeing of the community?
Building/Labourer – can you assist our workers with building, architecture or simply as a creative handyman?
Support a Family – can you help a family to make repairs to their home? Or to dig their garden plot? Or build some basic furniture? The families would not be in a position to supply materials so please consider fundraising or donating funds towards the materials.
Teaching/Tutoring –would you like to work with the children to teach or tutor? Consider the Homework Club or create a program that will assist a newly sponsored child to be prepared for school. Or you might like to upskill the women with a program on finances and budgeting.

Volunteer programme details
Volunteer programs operate for 6 months of the year; between December and February and between June and August (in blocks of 14 – 21 nights).
Volunteers will be expected to contribute a fair day’s work for 6 days in each week (Monday to Saturday). If you do not work for a period of 4 days or more, your volunteer position may revert to tourist status and a subsequent increase in accommodation costs may apply.
Accommodation is offered on a same sex, twin share basis at a reduced rate (payable in advance) which includes all meals, tea, coffee and bottled water. Alcohol may be purchased on site.
Volunteers may be grouped and assigned a supervisor who will oversee the day’s activities.
