Building a home
New house, new life
This program comes from an initiative that women from Ride 4 A Woman started by themselves: saving money to build a house for one member of the community that was in need.
Some people in Bwindi have houses built with mud, straw and wood, making daily life difficult, uncomfortable and even unsafe due to the possibility of houses collapsing in adverse weather conditions.
This was the situation of one member of R4W and his family. R4W, together with the initiative and savings of the women of R4W, made possible the construction of a new brig and cemented house for them.
This program pretends to help more people that are facing similar situations - through building, repairing or renewing their homes - to allow their families to have better lives and futures.
