Happiness Bakundana

Happiness is 59 years old and lives in Kashebeya.

Happiness works in Buhoma council representing her village, Kashebeya. She also works in R4W in basket weaving. She studied in primary and secondary school. She lives with her husband and 4 grandchildren in a house that they are improving little by little. Her husband is a farmer and grows tea, coffee and bananas in their fields.

Happiness has been always leading social and community issues and, a part of represent Kashebeya in Buhoma’s council, she is also a member of the village health team, being in contact with Buhoma’s Hospital every time is needed.

R4W provided her with a loan which she is using to finance the construction of her home and a solar panel that she and her husband are using to light their home. Before having the solar panel, she used to have a paraffined light. She has been one of the first ones to be benefited by the R4W solar program, now having good quality light that allows her to charge her mobile phone, her grandchildren to do their homework and the entire family to feel more secure.
